School Fundraiser - Supporting One of Our Students
This week, we are holding a fundraiser to support one of our students who is currently hospitalized. Students may participate in $1 hat and sunglasses passes all week, with all money collected going directly to the family. Additional donations beyond $1 are welcome and greatly appreciated. Thank you for coming together to support our school community.

Young Authors- Due January 23rd

Schools throughout Wyoming are encouraged to participate in the Young Authors Contest. This state-wide writing competition is offered for all grades, K-12 in public, private or homeschool. Entries include: fiction, non-fiction, poetry and graphic novels. The Young Authors Contest provides students the opportunity to write for enjoyment and to share their writing.

Good morning!
Starting today at 9:00am I-80 traffic will be routed through town as they remove the barriers in the Eastbound tunnel. They are opening the tunnels today. (see link below)
This will affect bus routes on the North side of town this afternoon and tomorrow in the morning and afternoon. The PD will be assisting with traffic control to assist us approaching to and leaving from Washington school off/on to Flaming Gorge Way.
We will be routing our buses to avoid having to cross Flaming Gorge way as much as possible.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause and thank you for your patience.

SWCSD#2 would like to invite all of you to a special event at Wolves Stadium, next to Lincoln Middle School. We are hosting a "Wolves Scoreboard Howls" night to introduce our new Green River Wolves Stadium interactive scoreboard. We would like all of you to join us for what should be a fun and exciting time as we demonstrate the new scoreboard and kick off our school year. Please see attached flyer. There will be around 15 minutes of different interactive video display demonstrations, along with your cheer and dance team, and some other athletic teams taking part in this event.

Sweetwater School District #2 school day is on schedule for today, this includes McKinnon Elementary. Our rural bus routes are on a 2-hour delay. We will reevaluate if we can run those buses at all later this morning. All field trips scheduled for today have been cancelled. Thank you to the City of Green River for plowing the bus routes this morning.
